Send a questionnaire to a client
This content is a draft and will not be included in production builds.
Publishing a questionnaire makes a personal link for each person. You copy the link and send it yourself, in your own email or text. This article shows you how.
- Open the project. In the menu, select Questionnaires, and then open your questionnaire.
- Select the Share tab.
- Select Add a person and choose someone from the project’s contacts. Do this once for each person who should answer. The project’s primary contact is added for you when you publish.
- Select Publish. In the window titled Publish this questionnaire?, select Publish again.
- On the Share tab, under Personal links, select the copy icon beside a person’s link. You’ll see “Link copied”.
- Paste the link into your own message to that person. They don’t need an account to answer.
Before you publish
Section titled “Before you publish”- Publishing locks the questions. Preview the questionnaire first.
- To publish, the questionnaire needs at least one question, every image question needs its images, and the project needs a primary contact.
- Someone you want isn’t on the list? Add them to Contacts in Project settings, and then come back.
- Each person’s link shows on a computer screen. On a phone, the links are hidden.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”- Each person’s row shows where they are: Not started, a percent done, or Submitted.
- To send someone an email with their link, select Remind on their row. It works for a person who has an email in Contacts and hasn’t sent their answers yet. This is the only email we send your client for a questionnaire.
- In the sample project, Publish and Remind are turned off.
- When answers come in, see Read a client’s responses.
